The game is played 3-on-3 on the court, with 2 substitutes on each team.
Match format:
All matches consist of 4 quarters of 12 minutes each.
If no winner is determined in regular time, overtime is played for 5 minutes.
If there is still no winner after overtime, another 5-minute overtime period is played, and so on until a winner is determined.
This means that the number of additional overtime periods is theoretically infinite.
Technical defeats are possible (theoretically, but not in practice). In the event of a technical defeat, the match score becomes 20:0.
Time movement:
Net time is played for the last 30 seconds of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd quarters and the last minute of the 4th quarter. The rest of the time is gross time.
Penalties:
After 6 team fouls, any foul is punished with two free throws.
A successful free throw is worth 1 point.
Team fouls are not carried over to the next quarter.
Team fouls are carried over from overtime to overtime if there is more than one overtime period.
Substitutions and ejections:
There is no limit to the number of substitutions.
A player is ejected for receiving 2 unsportsmanlike or 2 technical fouls, as well as for receiving one technical and one unsportsmanlike foul.
The ejection applies only to the game in which it was received.
A player who has been ejected does not play for the rest of the game.
In the case of the first ejection, the substitute player replaces the ejected player.
In the case of the second ejection, the substitute player replaces the ejected player.
In the case of the third ejection, the team begins to play with 2 players.
In the case of the fourth ejection, the team is awarded a technical defeat.
Timeouts
Each team has one timeout in the 1st and 3rd quarters and two timeouts in the 2nd and 4th quarters.
Score change:
Possible values: 1, 2, and 3 points
1 point is only possible in the case of free throws
